Welcome to the official website of Boerboel Dog Breeders Association, Nigeria (BDBAN), a registered breeders’ club for the Boerboel in Nigeria.
BDBAN is affiliated with the South African Boerboel Breeders’ Society (SABBS) and is the sole representative of that Society in Nigeria regarding any boerboel related issues and events.
As a Pathfinder...
BDBAN put Nigeria on the world map by organizing the first Boerboel appraisal in West Africa in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria in November 2013. Subsequent appraisals have equally remains successful till date.
BDBAN welcomes all boerboel breeders, owners, enthusiasts and fanciers to come on board as we continue to promote and ennoble the Boerboel in Nigeria and erect solid foundation for the future of this versatile breed.

Microchips
The Animal Improvement Act prescribes that all registered Boerboels must bear permanent and uniform identification marks.
Birth Notification
To capture the data relating to all boerboels towards final birth notification from SABBS, BDBAN has commenced its Birth Notification.
Transfer of Ownership
The owner in whose name a dog is registered, must inform the Secretariat within 30 days of any change of ownership transactions.
